MidWare Technologies is pleased to announce the availability of a third party ProvideX Report Writer that does not require the use of ODBC Drivers. Developed and used by one of the more successful U.S. ProvideX VARS, PVRQ runs on freestanding Windows PCs, NT Client/Server, or UNIX via WindX.

PVRQ is a valuable tool designed to allow you to gain easy access to information contained in your application databases. Using the data dictionary created under NOMADS and supplied either by yourself or your software vendor, you can easily select the tables and data elements you want to see. That information can be formatted according to needs, sorted, and filtered. The report can then be:

Printed to any Windows printer
Displayed on the screen in Wordpad, Microsoft Word, etc.
Written to a Microsoft Excel compatible file
Written to a delimited file to be imported by another application
Displayed via the ProvideX *VIEWER*

To use the PVRQ software, you will need:

A 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system on your PC, such as Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT
ProvideX for Windows or WindX, version 4.10 or higher.
If you wish to print reports on a Windows printer and wish to print wide reports, the printer must be capable of scaling fonts.
If you wish to use a multi-user version of PVRQ, make sure you download the 2 installation programs required: one for the server (Windows or UNIX) and one for the Windows clients.

This software requires an activation key. Please fill out the download form to have a demo key emailed to you. With a demo key the user is limited to 5 reports, the report copy and import/export features are disabled, each report is displays "Demonstration Version", and a report cannot be run more than 50 times. Upon payment, a fully functional permanent key will be provided.

To run the software, RUN "C:\PVX\PVRQ\PVRQ" or "/pvx/pvrq/PVRQ" from the ProvideX prompt.
